WCPR Children’s Theatre’s Star Bright Players present Hadestown: Teen Edition, the full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s Hadestown, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences. This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. (This production is rated PG-13.)

 The talent from crew to ensemble, choreography lead and supporting stars, all the while dancing, climbing and dancing on such a small stage was absolutely incredible to watch. It felt like a TPAC production. These young adults have a range that is astounding.

 Always impressed with anything Deidra Alexander is involved in. From directing to choreographing, she never misses. Excited to see more of what she can do given she's allowed the space to continue growing. I think things are just going to keep getting better!
