The Star Bright Players (ages 13-18) and Image Surgical Arts present Urinetown the Musical, a sidesplitting sendup of greed, love, revolution (and musicals!), in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, Urinetown provides a hilarious musical satire and fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms in a hysterically funny and touchingly honest way. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! (Rated PG-13 by Music Theatre International)

We will be collecting toilet paper donations at all performances of Urinetown the Musical in support of Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
In the words of Urinetown hero Bobby Strong, help us make sure "that no man in need would be ignored by another with the means to help him."
If you wish to donate, please drop off your toilet paper packages in the Williamson County Performing Arts Center lobby before the show.

How did you like the event?

We enjoyed it a lot. Sometimes, however, the music was so loud we couldn't understand the players. On the whole, we thought the young people did a fabulous job.

How did you like the event?

Student acting and vocals were great! Music was a bit too loud. It drowned out the monologues and singing at times.

How did you like the event?

The actors were great. especially the lead parts. They had great singing voices. It was hard to hear many of the actors though when they were speaking. This may have been partly due to the actors not knowing how to project their voice and the audio equipment not amplifying properly.
