Ned Newley doesn’t even want to be governor. He’s terrified of public speaking; his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his ever-supportive Chief of Staff, Ned seems destined to fail. But political consultant Arthur Vance sees things differently: Ned might be the worst candidate to ever run for office. Unless the public is looking for… the worst candidate to ever run for office.

At Limelight, our cabaret seating arrangement caters to the wishes of our audience members.  To facilitate this planning, ONLINE TICKET SALES WILL CLOSE FOUR HOURS BEFORE THE START OF EACH PERFORMANCE.   If available, late tickets may be purchased at the door though seating may be at high tables only.

We take the health of our cast, staff and patrons very seriously. All involved must remain healthy for the show to go on.
Vaccinations are highly recommended but not required. However, the Playhouse and Limelight are public indoor spaces with patrons in close proximity to one another. SVCT requires, regardless of vaccination status, that all patrons must wear a mask inside the theater and theater lobby areas unless actively drinking or eating.
We count on our audience members to self-monitor. If you experience Covid-19 symptoms or receive a positive Covid-19 test, please alert our Box Office volunteers at [email protected] and/or call 408-842-7469 at least three (3) hours before curtain so we can exchange your tickets for a later performance.

   Our VERY favorite show this season. Christy Wright knocked it out of the park. I think she was born for this role! Peter was very convincing. The set was very exciting -- everyone moving all around. Lots of laughs and unexpected stuff. Enjoyed all the actors. We are loving the themed cocktails.    Our first expereince with this group. They did an awesome job. Very professional despite the theater being very small. Could have reached out at times and touched the Actors. Nice to see a political comedy that does not tilt to one side or the other. We will certainly be back for future productions.

 Loved it! It was witty yet easy to follow along. I don't much go in for politics, but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the whole premise and story line. The actors were great, and the wife and I have been quoting it non stop since the show. O-KAY!

 Laughter is good for the soul. This play had me laughing numerous times. Looking over at my husband I saw a giant smile on his face while shaking his head . One of those I don’t believe what I just heard! We thoroughly enjoyed it.
