The Little Dog Laughed

Event Flyer

The four characters are an actor, Mitchell, his acerbic agent Diane, a hustler named Alex, and Alex's girlfriend Ellen. When Mitchell and Alex become involved in a physical relationship, Diane is concerned that what she describes as Mitchell's "slight recurring case of homosexuality" will derail his career before it gets started.

Directed for LCCT by Norman Lewis

Did not attend based on feedback. Who wants to see two young men running around on stage in their shorts

How did you like the event?

Didn’t care fo the crude language or the graphic illustration of Homosexuality...Sorry...but The acting and production were good, though.

How did you like the event?

While pleased to see homosexuality part of the focus of a play performed in LC, I would have preferred a play with a message emphasizing acceptance. I was hoping for something with a “good message”, but I came away feeling like I saw an “old” story - one that I had hoped we had moved beyond. Still, the acting and set were good. I’m glad I saw the play.

How did you like the event?

The four actors were good, especially Nora Brown. The play itself was too Hollywood or too New York for my taste. So many witty remarks that I could hardly follow. I wonder when Beane wrote the play? Farmer Robert

How did you like the event?

Felt like I was living the event. The male actors are professional and realistically portray the characters. Good use of the stage and video capability.

How did you like the event?

It might have fit the play but we didn’t like the language. What we did like, as always, was the exceptional local talent

How did you like the event?

Very funny. Nice set, nice lighting, nice visual effects via large monitors, good acting/directing. The play provided valuable insight to "coming out" and the general challenge, discomfort and fear of sharing one's emotions and being vulnerable. Very well done.

How did you like the event?

The angst in the first half was boring until the twist at the end. It was so clever! Then i realized how beautifully the writer had set up his chess pieces at the beginning. All sorts of layers in the play.
