If you purchased tickets for February 23rd of The Importance of Being Earnest, please check your email!  Our February 23rd showing has NOT been cancelled, but is now a dress rehearsal due to the weather.  This means we will have a photographer taking photos, and it will be more informal. You may exchange your tickets by emailing the box office at [email protected] if you would prefer to see a regular showing. We apologize for the inconvenience!

Wilde referred to this play as “a trivial comedy for serious people.” This is a farcical comedy with witty, quick paced dialogue and situations dealing with love, lovers, mistaken identity, an outrageous parent, and a host of unusual comic characters. This is one of Oscar Wilde’s enduring plays.

     I thought the program should have listed the acts and intermission. Some people including myself thought the play was over before the final act.
