The Band of Heathens is an acclaimed American rock ’n’ roll band from Austin, Texas, founded in 2005. Anchored by founding members Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist, along with longtime keyboardist Trevor Nealon, the band has earned a reputation for soulful songwriting and high-energy performances. Their 2023 album Simple Things topped the Americana radio chart for two months and remained in the top 10 for nearly half the year. Their hit “Hurricane” was recently certified gold by the RIAA, adding to a catalog that has been streamed nearly a billion times. The band appeared on CBS Saturday Morning and previously recorded an episode of Austin City Limits in 2009. Fiercely independent, The Band of Heathens has built a successful, fan-driven career on their own terms, continuing to evolve nearly 20 years in while staying true to their roots.
