Something Rotten

Second night

Event Flyer

Set during the English Renaissance, Something Rotten follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom through their wacky attempts at finding success in Shakespeare's shadow. With the help of a slightly inaccurate soothsayer, the brothers set off to write the first ever musical - with absurd but entertaining results.

Full of clever and witty writing, an upbeat original score, and a cast of characters who are as clueless as they are hilarious, this is musical comedy at its finest!

Presented by the Charles Hays Secondary School's fine arts program. Due to some suggestive language and content, this show is rate PG-13.

The musical was delightful. The students put on a fantastic show - the acting, singing, dancing, costumes, and set were all so well done. Bravo!

How did you like the event?

This was, to date, the most fun of the musicals the high school has done. Alison and her troupe made "the Bard" sparkle and bedazzle! The script has pithy Shakespearean quotes and sly references to other musicals. Great choreography, music and costuming as well. The set was fun.
