PAT TRAVERS

Canadian-born Pat Travers may be best known for his hits “Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights),” Snortin’ Whiskey” and “I La La La Love You” from the “Valley Girls” film soundtrack. But it’s his live show and superior guitar work that has earned him legions of loyal fans since he burst onto the international rock scene in the late 1970s.

 

Pat Travers has been playing guitar in bands since his early teens.  He has  worked with multiple record labels throughout his career, experiencing some commercial success. Pat developed a loyal following of fans, which continues today regardless of some line-up changes in the band over the years.  Pat continues to tour with his band and to record albums.

 

The Pat Travers Band (PTB) currently consists of Pat Travers (guitars, vocals, keyboards), drummer Alex Petrosky, and David Pastorius (bass/vocals).

How did you like the event?

 Pat Travers was and is always a pro. His talent is far beyond most guitar players today. His show was exceptionally hot. The whole experience was great except for the Pittsburg, CA area. We got there early wanting to relax and have a bite and pound down some IPAs before the show. Nothing in the area for that kind of desire. We suffered at a wine bar.

How did you like the event?

 Pat Travers Band is still a very consistent rock act . Have seen him a dozen times or more . The opener wit5h the legendary Stu Hamm ! Great band also . Eric Barnett is a monster guitarist . Nobody sounds like PTB .

 Technical difficulties during the show were a bummer but the bassist for both bands was insane
