Turn the game Clue into a play and you have the masterfully entertaining Murder’s in the Heir!’ Almost every character in this hilarious mystery has the weapon, opportunity and motive to commit the unseen murder.  And it’s up to the audience to decide who actually did it!  Each of the heirs to the tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather has the means and the motive to do away with him.  Starkweather gathers his family and employees to announce the contents of his will.  His lawyer, Lois van Zandt, reveals that he has bequeathed vast fortunes to his befuddled niece Fiona, her playboy son Jordan, his great-niece Paula and his grandson Simon III, as well as to his many servants.  Then Lois delivers the bombshell!  Within hours this will becomes invalid.  Of course, the rejected heirs are not pleased, so it’s not surprising when they roam the old mansion carrying such items as an ax, a gun and poison.  Predictably, the lights go out, and Simon is discovered murdered.  Simon III is determined to find his grandfather’s killer, with the help of detective Mike Davis.  The play’s unique ending, utilizing secret ballots gathered at intermission from the audience, determines the killer in this Billy St. John maze of murder.  Our performances are divided into Adult and Youth casts.

How did you like the event?

   We don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings but we want to be honest. Bravo/Brava to all for memorizing their lines and sincerity and effort put forward. The play was not our favorite. We didn’t find the planned interruptions to be very funny. They didn’t add anything for us and they actually detracted. The play and acting just didn’t appeal to us. We will attend another event and hope it suits us better.

   Occasional mistakes in delivering lines. Some actors better than others. Overall a great time and will not hesitate to come watch another play. Great story too.

   Great cast and very funny! I might go again since the end changes depending on how the audience votes that night! What a fun idea!

How did you like the event?

 It was a cute play and the cast did well. There were a few standouts who stole the show for me... Rufus and the chef especially. One thing I would suggest is to dedicate an actor to play the person who keeps interrupting the show. The guy who did it was nice enough but that role could have used a little more dramatic effect to really add a humorous effect.

   We had a great time. The cast did an amazing job, Loved how the director would stop the play in the middle of the act to put in his input. We are coming back this weekend to see how the teens do.
