Have you ever wanted to learn how to use dance as a form of healing or sacred practice? Modern Temple Dance Monthly Lab is an in-person dance and energetic healing class that offers a supportive environment where you can learn and grow in a group all called to the practice of sacred dance and its usage in every day life. This two hour workshop offers step by step instruction on how to open the body up safely to express the depth of the inner world while being equally supported with the flow of Universal energy through the central channel of the spine. Additionally you will learn how to use this energy for yourself and others through creating your own sacred dance. Students will learn the MTD format to target specific healing requests while also using it as an expression of reverence for that which we hold most dear. Each monthly consists of energetic clearing practices, belly dance and Indian temple dance drills, a theory portion to describe a Hermetic teaching based on the theme of the month, and conclue with a short sacred dance combination that ties it all together.

August's theme is: POWER. We will explore our relationship to power, our experience with it in the outside world, and our connection to our own. Our inner power is the source of our WILL and the foundation in which we create our reality. The class will consist of practices that call back power that was lost and dance practices to help us to never forget who we are.

We conclude with an Exploration Lab where dancers can develop their own unique style of sacred dance expression inspired by the month’s theme.
