You won't want to miss Melon Fest at the Hagood Mill on July 31!  There will be so much to do and so much fun to be had!  The event runs from 11 am to 7ish pm with fun Melon Activities all day long.  Luke Deuce will kick off the musical entertainment at noon.  Luke Smith will take the reins at 2 pm, and Freddie Vanderford, J. Michael King & Brandon Turner will close out the musical entertainment starting at 5 pm. 

 

From 11 am to 5 pm folks can register to take a one hour introductory workshop to blacksmithing with our historical demonstrator Kevin Thompson.  You will learn to make a drive hook.  You must pay for a general admission ticket in addition to $20 per person for the one hour workshop.  There are 6 spots per hour session.  You can use the above ticket portal to reserve your spot now!  These will sell out fast, so purchase ASAP.  Please wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, and close-toed shoes if you will be partaking! All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.  Those aged 13-17 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

   Didn’t seem to have much to do with melons! Greatly enjoyed the iron working class.
