Labor Day Barn Bash is the flagship event at The Barn at the Phelps Farm.  David & Lori Phelps have hosted this annual event for 14 years at their historic family farm in Culleoka, TN.  Originally a large dairy farm in what was the cantelope capitol of the U.S. due to it's "sweet water", the Barn at the Phelps Farm is now home to musical events throughout the year.

 

In 2024, the Labor Day Barn Bash includes:  Two nightly concerts featuring David Phelps, Blue Bell Ice Cream, Dinner, and games for whole family!

   I loved the new songs, the old songs, the barn (and the AC!), all the merch, and I love the fact that your daughters sing with you. I'm all about family and I love that aspect. I lost my husband 3 years ago, and David's music has been my ongoing comfort during the difficult times. Thank you and I pray for many more years of singing for you!

   Loved David Phelps/ phenomenal but the outhouses and meals were a disappointment.

How did you like the event?

   I love David's music, but it is a bit too loud for my 83 year old ears! Excessive sound is really bad for the eardrums-and is leading to more and more people with hearing loss in their older years. Roger Jay

How did you like the event?

   Loved it! I have been to every Barn Bash ~ and it just keeps getting better ~ and so does David’s voice!! I love the family feel and how he loves and appreciates his plans!’ I bring my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 3 granddaughters every time they can come. It’s our favorite girl’s weekend of the year. How did you like the event?

   Labor Day Barn Bash 2024 was phenomenal. Hospitality, ticket buying, food, and overall experience was great. Add on top of that David and the bands' music and it was just magnificent. Loved David's rendition of Desperado. Definitely hoping to hear that again sometime soon. Can't wait for Christmas BB 2024.

How did you like the event?

   David has an incredible gift we never get tired of hearing him sing. Two nights of hits and there were still so many more we would like to hear! I hope to come back again some year, but my husband has Alzheimer's disease, he did pretty well but it was a lot for him so we'll probably stick to concerts closer to home. But I loved the atmosphere of the Barn!

How did you like the event?

 My first Barn Bash was wonderful. The staff and all the volunteers were very helpful. David sounded great but unfortunately, I barely was able to see him, Callie, Maggie Beth, and the screen because of where I was sitting (A20). It should have been indicated before purchase as 'Very Obstructed View'. At $295 a ticket, I was disappointed with my view. A BIG thank you to Jenn Dykes for allowing me to sit in the wheel chair section on the left for day 2. Much appreciated!

     Another wonderful weekend! I love seeing my new friends (fellow fans) and visiting with the amazing volunteers. Then the music! David never disappoints. Thank you David & Lori for sharing your farm with you! Can't wait to Christmas Barn Bash!

   This was our fourth year in a row to your spectacular event! All the volunteers are so very welcoming. You guys are like diamond studded pure gold! Everyone on stage was spectacular! AND of course, the vocal performance of David Phelps was indescribably delicious!

   David’s sings and son choice was the best ever. You could feel the anointing.  It worked better when you had one entrance for the handicapped and one for regular guests. We waited in line for 20 min before we got in on Sat. The rest was great.

   A very enjoyable experience. Very nice people. David Phelps and his band were amazing. The Down River Collective were awesome. The food was good. I did not know what time ticket holders could start entering and showed up early. The security agent was very apologetic that he couldn’t let me enter. The event organizers may want to provide that information. I’m planning my next trip already.

 David is amazing; however, the sound was horrible. The band was amped up so loud it was a wall of noise and felt like we were at a heavy metal concert. The balance was off also. The drums and bass were so loud, we could hear the speakers rattling, especially the bass on the low notes. We came to hear David and his incredible voice, and unfortunately the eardrum-shattering loudness detracted from his talent.
