Dallas Southern Pride presents the Juneteenth Unity Weekend Festival and Pool Party on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 5:00pm - 10:00pm at Samuell Grand Park and Aquatic Center

This year's festival features Food Trucks, Vendor Fair, Cash Bar and VIP Experiences

Guests 18 and up welcome. All guests are encouraged to bring an all clear bag, purse or tote.

All guests will be subject to search upon entry to event. The following items are not allowed at the event including but not limited to: explosives, narcotics, drug paraphernalia, firearms, knives, glass bottles, alcohol, hard coolers, umbrellas, pepper spray containers, or air horns.

   The celebrity entertainment going on 2 hours before event to close was not a good idea most left when they made us get out the pool then not telling anyone you could not smoke on property and not having a smoking section then charging a 25 ReEntry Fee 2 of the people I came with never came in because of this so I wasted money paying for vip table then having separate bars in vip and not disclosing that info we just decided this will be the last event for us

How did you like the event?

   The event overall was fun, however, the planning needs work. Nobody knew that the pool was for vip only. Although the vip tickets mentioned pool access, the event was marketed as a pool party. This was bad because a lot of people were dehydrated. It is 100 degrees right now. I personally threw up because of the heat. The bathrooms were very far from the actual event, and again in this type of heat that was a long walk. The emcees were good and the dj did fine.
