Take an evening ride out to the heart of Chatham County, and experience the spine tingling chills of Haunted Hills Terror Drive. This slow (3mph) drive is a scary, but safe, driving entertainment experience through the grounds of Shakori Hills Community Arts Center.

 

One ticket permits one passenger vehicle entrance.

You can have as many passengers as your vehicle will safely accommodate but all passengers must be inside the vehicle (no riding in flatbeds), with a seat belt fastened.

 

You are not allowed to exit your vehicle at all during the drive.

   Maybe using a hayride sort of thing would have been better vs the drive thru. Having more creepy things while waiting in line would be fun too.

How did you like the event?

   We had a great time! I thought it was well organized too. I was concerned upon arrival, around 7:30ish, that we would be in line for quite a while, but it went quickly and we really enjoyed the trail. I hope this returns next year.

   Night out for us. Actors maybe a little more action from the actors..some were just sganding there or walking by. Had 8:00 tickets. All in all, fun during this COVID Mess..thanks for having it...!

 It was fantastic. My only complaint is with the drivers of the other cars. I did my best to maintain the 3mph rule but I ended up having to stop or drive 1mph most of the time because cars in front of us were going really slow and often completely stopped for a minute or two. I don't think there is a way to fix that honestly but it didn't completely ruin the experience. It was just annoying having to focus on them rather than the attraction itself so I missed some things.

   Such a fun night!!! Kids had a blast. Never heard them scream and laugh so much. Y’all did a fabulous job putting this together! We will definitely be back.

  It was great fun - to get out of the house and see the creativity of those who put together this event. Not something I would ordinarily do - our children are grown and out of the house. We intended to come with friends (in separate cars) but they had a ticket mix up (your website for ordering not the most user friendly). Thanks for sharing your land and creativity!

   Well our slot wasn’t 7:30 it was 8:30 but sides that, thank god it was an awesome haunted drive through cuz the wait was way to long to get in even with the time slot. A lot of steaming in our truck! Well done for the event. You really need to fix the time slot or just don’t bother with it.

  Spooky and fun! We loaded up the car full of kids and we enjoyed the experience and the scenes. Certainly a GREAT way to get the family in the Halloween mood

  Better communication about the audio files, should not be sent day of event. Not mentioned by staff either, kind of a let down with no audio.

   Sorry I think it was a terrible event because my purchase was for the 10th not yesterday. Now I find out I can't use it on the day I purchased it for. I my ticket was hacked. Why does it have a time of arrival on this review? I did not use my ticket. And I will make sure no one I know buys a ticket.

   Even though there was a download for us I think it would be more effective if some way you could have recorded “spooky music/sounds” outside along the path. Also maybe you could have couple of more people collecting tickets before entering and that would speed up process. Good experience!
