This full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s Tony Award-winning musical, reimagines the myths of Orpheus, Eurydice, Hades, and Persephone. Set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk world, this jazz-inflected folk opera explores love, loss, and redemption. Orpheus, a young musician, embarks on a dangerous journey to rescue Eurydice from Hadestown, a factory-like underworld ruled by Hades. Meanwhile, Hades’ strained relationship with Persephone mirrors the cycles of decay and growth. Combining folk, jazz, and blues, Hadestown delivers a powerful commentary on love, sacrifice, and societal issues like power and wealth, offering a profound theatrical experience.
