The four adult Cotter siblings have gathered at the family summer cottage on Lake Michigan two years after their father’s death to scatter his ashes from atop his favorite sand dune. During a wet, mosquito-ridden Fourth of July weekend at a childhood getaway that has wildly divergent implications for each of them, these estranged siblings, along with their assorted spouses and companions, attempt to cobble together the elusive and contradictory memories of growing up with (and without) their difficult patriarch. As they struggle to come to terms with their past and present lives, they gain insights about themselves, their father, and each other. Flung is a laugh-filled drama about family, fireworks, and finally growing up.

    This play, while done really well, was really hard to follow. A bit of background in the program would have helped with understanding the relationship between characters.

  Such a poignant play. A good reminder to look at life from other's perspectives. First time visiting your playhouse and I so enjoyed the intimacy and coziness. What a find. What a gem. Thank you for a great evening.

    "Flung" was amazing, with a very relatable story of our love/hate relationships with our family members. Jovon Serrano was exceptional as Meryl. The rest of the cast definitely put their heart into their roles and it showed. Kudos also to Sally Schmeling for directing this fine production. It's great to see more off-beat plays like Flung that aren't being produced at the other local community theaters. Great job, everyone, and keep up the good work, Kettle Moraine Play

   It was a very topical presentation. When parents get older and passed away, and the siblings are all adults, the dynamic can be very complex flung showed this all the different personalities all the conflicting things about the person that died, and the perception of how the person live their life very topical enjoyed it immensely.
