Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors

Event Flyer

Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen first flew onto the New York theatre scene (and TikTok) in 2023, and now, he’s ready to sink his teeth into small-town Canada.

Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors is a bloodcurdlingly hilarious send-up about Bram Stoker's legendary vampire. When her sister Mina falls ill with a mysterious disease of the blood, Lucy Westfeldt and her fiancé, Jonathan Harker, enlist the help of famed vampire hunter Doctor Jean Van Helsing. Their hunt for the dangerous and sexy Count Dracula is a whip-sharp, campy, gender-bending romp where gothic horror meets Monty Python.

Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors plays from April 24-26th at the Northern Lights Performing Arts Pavilion.

"Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors" is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com

Content Warning: Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors contains sexual situations, strong language and comedic violence. We recommend it for audience ages 13 and older.

I chaperoned a group of five 13 and 14 year old young ladies to this show and we had a blast watching this performance! There were some troubleshooting issues for the first 30 minutes that delayed the show, and then a powerful storm rolled through town and the hydro went out momentarily, but despite the minor inconveniences the show was great. My group of giggling girls most favourite scene was the fiance-turned-vampire strutting his stuff in corset and fish nets!

Actors and crew had to battle through tech difficulties which delayed the start. All handled with professionalism and humour. Then midway through the play a storm related power outage. The play and Actors were superb, and interruption was quickly forgotten. Truly one of the most entertaining productions I've seen. Fantastic company. Really enjoyed it 😊

How did you like the event?

Dracula was a zany, fun show! The cast was stellar and their ability to maintain a straight face while the audience was splitting their sides in laughter was impressive! Once again, an outstanding production.
