The Funk Experience features musicians Neil Angilley, Tim Cansfield, Jonathan Noyce and Nic France, who have provided musical services to a “who’s who” of stars 

including the bee gees, jethroe tull, Vanessa Mae, David Gilmour, rod stewart,

gary moore, Nile Rogers, Joss Stone, Chaka Khan and Bill Withers.

With this band, Derek has the opportunity to play the funk and groove pieces that have influenced him throughout his career, drawing on a back catalogue of hits by Bill Withers, The Crusaders, The Average White Band, David Sanborn, 

Grover Washington Jnr, Herbie Hancock, the JBs and Stevie Wonder.
