Come From Away

Loved this show! Music was so professional. Acting was great! Enjoyed learning about the history behind the story.

Some of the dialogue could not be heard. Overall, it was very enjoyable.

This was our 2nd time seeing a play at LCCT. This was greater than the last. We brought guests and all 4 of us really enjoyed this performance. The band was great too. You could see how much hard work & dedication went into each performance. Made you laugh and cry at times. My husband and I hope to purchase season tickets so we can be sure to see more great local talent. We understand why it was a sold out performance. Wonderful!!!

I noticed that I have only left 5 stars in all of my ratings... that is a good sign. Community theatre is not Broadway they have a much higher hill to climb - resources are always limited so they have to get the most out of what they do. This group works their butts off and they deliver an amazingly excellent product. They should be commended and we should be filling every seat for every production. Bravo!

If there were more stars you would have them all. The show was incredible, fabulous and all the other superlatives that exist. It is the best show we have ever seen and being from NY, that includes Broadway. We never heard of the show and I was skeptical that a musical was done about 9/11. LCCT made the right choice especially that this year is the 25th anniversary of that tragedy. What an uplifting memorial the play was to that event. Much, much applause to everyone.

Outstanding production from direction to stage management to musical support to individual actors' microphones. The acting, singing and dancing were topnotch with a minimum of mistakes did not interfere with the continuity of the musical. All involved can rightly take deep satisfaction in how well they entertained the audience. The only disappointment was the lack of programs at the final performance leaving patrons in the dark as to the identity of the cast and crew. d

Good music. Upbeat play, well executed with excellent performances all around.

 Amazing performance.

Really enjoyed the show. Great acting and singing. Las Cruces has some great talent.

Kat and the entire crew did a fantastic job. The energy was incredible and the acting was on fire. I can’t wait to visit again to see another show! Onward!

Best play I've ever seen in my 47 years in Las Cruces. The performers were in perfect harmony and the show was perfectly directed. Too bad it won't continue for a few more performances.

I had so much fun! I recently discovered Come From Away and it’s definitely become one of my favorite musicals so it was amazing to have the opportunity to see it live!

 excellent excellent would see again!

WOW, WOW, WOW! This was a FANTASTIC production! I highly recommend it!

Casting, directing, principals singing voices were all terrific!

As a Canadian who remembers this story very well -- and having spent a lot of time around Newfoundlanders -- it is especially touching to get to experience this performance in some of the furthest reaches of the USA. It's no wonder it has sold out; who doesn't like a feel-good story? Especially in these difficult times. Kudos to all!

Once again, great performance, casting and directing. Hard to hear some voices.

Come From Away was more than I expected! The performances were passionate and the singing was excellent. The live band on stage added it's own performance magic. It's an amazing story of genuine tragedy, comradery, hospitality and hope. I laughed, I cried and grieved with the characters and felt joy witnessing priceless human capacity.

I attended with 3 friends; since I purchased the tickets for all of us, I don't know that they will receive a request to review, so I'll summarize our collective thoughts. We loved the play! The acting was amazing and the story is of course very poignant, but this production brought out better than most the humanity and kindness of the Canadian hosts in Gander and surrounding communities. Only complaint: some of the actors were still hard to hear, even with mics.

My husband and I enjoyed the play. Some of the actors were exceptional like Hannah. I was hoping her son was okay but knew that wasn't going to happen. Although, there was a lot of uncertainty there was levity that helped the play. Our only problem is we couldn't hear some of the actors and sometimes the band played over the actors.

The acting, singing, and music were all great. We felt the gay issue was forced unnecessarily.

 ⁸

It was an excellent musical. It's hard to believe the performers were people from everyday life. Alot of funny scenes.

It was absolutely great! It brought tears to my eyes at times and lots of laughter. too. We both loved it.

Excellent all around. Only complaint: at some points in the play the music made it difficult to hear the actors.

What an incredible show! It's no wonder it won a Tony, but truthfully our local LCCT did an amazing job. The singing was great, acting was amazing and the story line brought me to tears, as I was remembering 911, having lived on the east coast then. Just truly great all around.

I thought 9-5 was and amazing musical, but

Fantastic performance, both theatrically and musically, A great stioy, told with energy and feeling. Too bad it's sold out for the rest of the run if you didn't get to see it.

 Great musical.

The show was outstanding. I especially liked the diversity of the cast which reflected the diversity of the passengers on the plane.

I had no idea what to expect. Everything about this production was a 10+. The music was wonderful - thank you Irene Brink. The characters were versatile - some playing several roles. The play was very moving, touching plus funny moments to mix up the seriousness. Katalina Hadfield - thank you for your outstanding directing. WHAT A PRODUCTION!

**Review** This play was heartwarming, funny, and truly enjoyable! It had plenty of laughs, but also touching moments that made it special. The cast did a wonderful job, and it was a great show from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend seeing it!

Excellent production! The Moose was priceless!

Fantastic show! The cast was amazing! Great job by all!

Great casting and lots of energy throughout the show. There were some individuals who were still hard to hear when speaking and occasionally the music drowned out the actors. Overall, a terrific show!

Great show with an awesome cast.

 Fantastic show!

unable to see the play; could not find a parking place within one mile of the theater on Friday evening. All the parking lots full and so very limited parking near the theater all full. This is a real problem when you want to enjoy a night at the theater and there is some event going on at the plaza. again - missed a play because of lack of parking.

Very impressive performance. We are very lucky to have so many talented people here in Las Cruces. Our kudos to the director.

Amazing in all aspects: perfect staging, incredibly talented cast, with engaging, honest performances, musicality and direction. I've seen several musicals on Broadway and the caliber of this Come From Away performance was comparable to some of those. SPECTACULAR!

Loved the show, very entertaining. One suggestion, please don't sell tickets then try to re-seat guest to accommodate volunteers. We purposely purchase aisle seats for personal reasons, we did enjoy the show but felt judged and uneasy about refusing to give up our seats.

 Bravo ❤️ Beautiful Production

Exceptionally well done for a performance with such a large cast! LCCT never fails to deliver. Thank you!

Love the show, the music, the story, the acting. The volunteers from the audience to become Newfoundlanders could be edited it out -- distracting. Otherwise, pure joy. Thank you so much.

Hands down this was one of the very best plays we’ve seen at LCCT. The actors portrayed their roles with so much genuine emotion. Between humour and sadness it was so well done. Bravo!

Dear LCCT: I was absolutely moved, touched and delighted with your performance of "Come From Away". You treated a terrible tragedy with compassion, humor and thought. The actors were top notch and the singing was marvelous! All of the costume changes for each different character must have been hard, but the actors carried them off effortlessly, it seemed! I have seen this play on Broadway in NYC, and at Popejoy in Albuquerque. You can hold your head up high !

Fabulous performance! Great production and direction (especially the cameo!). Nice to have the live band with the ensemble. I know a bunch of lavalier mic's were purchased for the group and they worked wonderfully well on all of the numbers. It was very difficult to hear the actors when they were just speaking. Don't know if there is a tweak for that, but......

Such great talent. Sometimes the band was loader to hear some of the singing. Saw it on Broadway. Trust me this musical could of been on Broadway

This was my first time going to a production of LCCT - I was blown away! Come from Away really moved me - it was funny, but also brought back all the shock and grief from 9/11. I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. The quality of the music and singing was top notch, the acting was deep, heartfelt and professional. You should go!

 Well done!

Amazing cast, great vocals and spirited performances take you to a time when folks pulled together to face hardships. Heartwarming and very well acted and directed!

 so good

We were season subscribers for 20 years to a community theater in Washington that we were impressed by. This was our time at a LCCT production. We were very impressed by the singing, acting and staging of this production.Much better than the El Paso production a couple of years ago.

 FANTASTIC!! & Politically timely!!

It was wonderful to have live music! The musicians were so good, as were the singers and the story was wonderful. The only thing was that if there was music and/or singing in the background, it was a little difficult to hear speaking parts, but I'm sure that will be resolved in subsequent performances. Well done all!! Please support this wonderful musical!

Come From Away was simply the best LCCT performance I have seen. All the actors played their parts with a real sense of joy. The singing was wonderful and five piece orchestra was sensational. I hope that becomes a permanent fixture. The play really moved and I liked that there wasn’t an intermission. A great performance! Five Stars!
