Houghton College is excited to offer Saturday morning CHEERNASTICS for students in grades 1-8. The program will be under the leadership of longtime county & current Houghton College coaches Darice Mullen & Jessica Romance. This program will run for four Saturday mornings, Dec. 7 & 14 and Jan. 11 & 18 at Houghton College’s Nielsen Center. Each session will begin at 9 am & finish at 12noon. Parents/Guardians are asked not to stay during our sessions. All participants will rotate through three centers each Saturday, cheer foundations & dance technique, tumbling, and stunt building and safety. On January 18th, there will be an exhibition at 11 am where participants will have an opportunity to perform in front of families and friends and will be recognized for their participation. Finally, participants are invited to perform at the half-time of the women’s or men’s basketball game on Saturday, January 25th. The cost of the CHEERNASTICS program is $100 per participant and will include a t-shirt. The medical release form will be emailed after registration is complete.
