Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol

Benefit Performance

Event Flyer

A note from Mark Coffin who together with Heidi Mueller Smith adapted this wondrous work by Charles Dickens for the theater stage:

"I believe this story is as important and relevant today as it was in 1843, for reasons very clear and obvious to all thinking, feeling people. At its very core it reminds us that we all have the potential to become our better selves. If you can open your heart ... if you can listen ... it is possible that the knowledge you are looking for will come from the most surprising places. People long gone. Or right next to you. Sometimes even in the mirror."

The closing night performance of A Christmas Carol, filmed in 2018, will be streamed on a limited basis from Dec. 23 - Dec. 27.

Proceeds from all ticket sales will go to The Actors Fund, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and The Young Center For Immigrant Children's Rights.  Tickets are $12 ($10 minimum donation, $2 for ticketing/payment platform expenses).  Those who wish to donate more will also have that option before checkout.

How did you like the event?

This production is a triumph! I have seen (and performed in) many versions of A Christmas Carol, and this tells the story with a clarity and depth of character that I have not seen done in most versions! Mark Coffin does a yeomen's job with the abundance of characters he portrays - Excellent work and well-written script. I enjoyed it immensely, and would recommend it highly to others!!

How did you like the event?

It takes a special kind of actor to keep an audience interested in a story when they are playing all the parts. Mark has an effortless way of transitioning from narrator to voicing all of the characters, that keeps the story moving but doesn’t let it get confusing or feel rushed. It’s great to watch an actor that is so good at his craft. Came for the redemption story. Stayed for the brilliant acting. Great job Mark Coffin!

Mark never disappoints. His performances, as long as I’ve known him, have always been extraordinary. Each character was distinct and true. Absolutely wonderful!

Mr. Coffin is a wonder! So well done, I can't keep from smiling! Can't believe one actor did ALL that and so well! BRAVO!!!
