ABOUT BLAQ FILM NIGHTS

“BLAQ FILM NIGHTS” created by organizers Jermaine Shoulders of Mosiac Entertainment and Jerry Horton aka BK Blaq of Blaq Film Group (formerly Filmmakers of Color in the Valley) got inspired to develop a pop up outdoor film series because of our genuine love affair with cinematic and the communal viewing experience.

This is our passion, and we wanted to share that with other like-minded people. We will be screening independently produced by filmmakers of African descent in a variety of pop up cinematic happenings in the Valley for everyone to enjoy.

THE MISSION

Because of the pandemic, it has limited movie theaters capacities to show movies to huge crowds safely and movie goers miss the communal movie viewing experience.

We love cinema, film culture and the cinema arts and to bring back it in a safe way while re-enforcing social distance, sanitizing stations and masking protocols so every can enjoy the events.

OUR GOALS

For the community of Indie film makers and media consumers alike, or cinema is driven to developing and enabling it to be distinct and his delivery of our unique niche market, niche services to today’s savvy, media producing and media consuming public.

Our singular commitment to you, the media maker and our audience is to invite community influencers to our BLAQ FILM NIGHTS pop up events for a totally enjoyable and memorable time that galvanize the community and stimulate commerce and creativity

BLAQ FILM NIGHTS offers the answer to endless possibilities to market to an untapped audience and consumer base. Everybody will be talking about when, and where to see our fantastic lineup of films. A perfectly safe way to watch a movie in a small intimate audience under the stars. We believe that community lead pop-up cinema is the future we want to lead the way.

ABOUT THE SERIES

Blaq Film Group are embarking on a joint venture partnership with Mosiac Entertainment to present a monthly film series intensively called
BLAQ FILM NIGHTS.

It will be an intimate event series where a cross-section of community from artist, community influencers and actors can come together to safely watch thought-provoking, inspiring and entertaining films and share dialogue and network afterwards on the stars in outdoor spaces.

Every third Saturday of the month, BLAQ FILM NIGHTS will be hosted at choice outdoor spaces for melanated people people and allies to come together to safely, enjoy lively entertainment, see future films, engage in lively discussions, to be part of the creative process and to meet a wide ranging mix of eclectic people from all walks of life.
