The night starts at 6 p.m. with a pre-gala party, with hor d'oeuvres and refreshments.

And the gala begins at 7 p.m.

How did you like the event?

 As an out-of-town guest, I appreciated the more balanced representation of all of the studios at the Gala. In the past, it felt more like a year-end Prince Rupert show. I wish awards only available to Prince Rupert students be awarded at a different show instead of the BCADC however, as there are no awards specific to other communities and it seems like a year end show would be a better option to give out the Prince Rupert awards, rather than the Gala.

 It’s just become way too long. 4 hours has gotten a bit much. Should be two hours max. Split over 2 days if necessary

How did you like the event?

 The gala itself was a lovely event but for people needing to make a very long journey home, it would sure be nice to have the gala shorter or start a couple hours earlier. Great night besides :)

 No trigger warning provided for balloon drop, I have a severe phobia of loud, sharp noises. Show is way too long.
