Yorktown Stage welcomes hometown hero Chris Ruggiero for an evening of pop-rock standards as you’ve never heard them before. His new album “I Am Chris Ruggiero” features original arrangements from legendary arranger Charlie Calello on timeless classics such as  “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” “My Cherie Amour,” “California Dreamin’,” “The More I See You,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “This Magic Moment.” He’ll be singing all those and more, live with a 6-piece band complete with a brass section for an added level of excitement.

Chris has been described as an “old soul” at 22 years old, whose approach to his concert appearances is more in line with that of a bygone era than it is the artists of his generation. Chris says, “I try to make every move and sing every song with a touch of class that reminds the audience of a time when entertainers put their heart and soul into their songs and delivering an exceptional concert was paramount.” Since performing on PBS-TV’s nationally-televised “My Music” series, Chris has been traveling around the country delivering his unique brand of vintage rock and roll and sharing his passion for the classics. Born and raised in Somers and a long-time Katonah resident, Chris considers this concert a homecoming and can’t wait to see friends, family and neighbors alongside fans who’ve never had a chance to see him live in the local area. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Somers Lions Club in support of their charitable endeavors.

       Chris was fantabulous and far exceeded our expectations! He’s extremely talented and personable—it was a joy to watch him do what he loves. And he does it so well. His song selection was also great. There are many groups that sing oldies, but Chris chose a terrific variety of songs that we don’t often hear and put his unique spin on many of them. We also loved the stories about his beloved family. It was a great night, and it was definitely worth the tre

   Chris was great BUT the theatre was extremely hit !!! I felt like I could pass out. There is no reason for this. I will NOT go to Yorktown stage again. I was very uncomfortable.
