Following on from the highly-acclaimed, sell-out musical productions of We Will Rock You and FAME, CAPA College are proud to present the all-singing, all-dancing sensation A CHORUS LINE this March.

 

We're just waitin' for a chance to dance with you!

Set on the stage of a Broadway Theatre, A Chorus Line follows 17 dancers all hoping for a spot in 'the chorus line' of an acclaimed director's new show. An intensive interview process allows a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the director as they describe the events that have shaped their lives. Only 8 can make it to the show. Experience the reality of being a performer on the Broadway audition circuit in this grounded and emotional retelling of this unprecedented box office and critical hit.  

Performed by year one Musical Theatre students and designed by Production Arts students from CAPA College, we are SO excited to show you what the cast and creatives have produced...

How did you like the event?

     The talent from lead cast was really impressive and we loved the show. It's amazing to see how much some students have achieved in such a short time at CAPA. We were however hoping that the ensemble would have their opportunity to shine front stage also, even for just one number. Unfortunately the ensemble were kept to the sidelines and back of floor, in the dark for pretty much the whole show and their obvious talents unable to be truly showcased.

How did you like the event?

   The show was of excellent quality, with very self-assured performances from the whole cast! Very occasionally, the music was a little too loud to hear solo singing/speech, but not enough to prevent enjoyment!!
