A Night of Dancing, Music, Nachos, and Community Support

Join us for an energetic evening of swing dancing, live music, food, and fun in support of the Post 8 Air Explorers youth aviation program.  Whether you're a seasoned dancer or stepping onto the dance floor for the first time, you’re cleared for takeoff! 🛫

📍 Location: Vaerus Aviation (at Topeka Regional Airport, aka Forbes Field)

Early Bird Sales ended 2/20/2026

  • $60 — Ages 21+

  • $30 — Ages 14–20

Advance tickets recommended.  💵 Save money and guarantee your spot.

🕕 Event Schedule

  • Doors Open: 6:00 PM

  • Swing Dance Lessons: 6:30 – 7:30 PM
    (No experience required)

  • Live Band & Open Dancing: 7:45 – 10:00 PM

🌮 Food, Drinks & Extras

  • Nacho Bar (while supplies last)

  • Cash Bar 🍸🍺

  • Silent Auction featuring great items

💃 No partner required

🎶 Beginners welcome

How did you like the event?

 It was my first time and it was a blast! I thought it was very well organized. The only "criticism" is to perhaps add more tables next year and have the live band sound louder (sometimes instruments weren't heard well or were too soft). Looking forward to next year!!!

How did you like the event?

 This was a 5 star event. I can't believe this was 100% volunteer-run. Awesome program for a great cause. Nachos for a 1940's swing dance were a great idea, considering the history of it. Yum!

 We had a great time. The music was great, the dance floor was perfect for dancing, and the decorations enhanced the atmosphere. My only comment is that the talking by the MC during the breaks got a little annoying at times. However, I also realize that attendees not familiar with the post might have found that info very useful. The nacho bar was very tasty.

 The facility was fabulous, the nacho bar was good and the swing band was good. I might suggest changing the PowerPoint slides during the program.

 Please do not change a thing. The nachos were way better than expected - loaded w/ meats & tons of condiments. The venue & vibe were perfect. The dancing was fun, and the instructor was really easy to understand. Loved the cash bar & complementary wine. My wife & I know several couples who we will be bringing back next year, for what we hope is will be the ANNUAL dance. We really hope you don't change a thing, so we can enjoy this perfect event with our friends next
