12th Annual Princeton Jazz Festival

High School Showcase

Event Flyer

The Saturday night of the 12th Annual Princeton Jazz Festival showcases area high school students.

The students will have the opportunity to attend clinics with Legends in Concert star Brian Duprey, perform at the festival and be adjudicated by top jazz performers and educators.  All participating bands also attend a concert featuring Mr Duprey and the PHS Studio Band.

Brian Duprey is an extraordinary vocalist and Frank Sinatra aficionado/impersonator.
He has studied Frank Sinatra's walk, talk, sense of humor, and of course his voice.

The original Frank Sinatra charts will be recreated with Brian and the Studio Band at the end of the showcase.

How did you like the event?

I enjoyed the event, however was very disappointed that as soon as the groups from Princeton were done performing the parents all got up and left. My student was from one of the other schools and I sat through Princeton's performances. It was very unprofessional that they left and didn't watch the other groups. It was also a little stuffy that night, and I don't think any air was on. There was a slight moldy smell that gave me and others in my family a headache.
