Youth Artist Guild Lubbock

The mission of the Youth Artist Guild Lubbock student-led youth program is to give students the opportunity to develop leadership skills that assist in forming a deeper sense of responsibility and pride that translates into other areas of life. The Youth Advisory Board administration is responsible for the administrative areas and plans and conducts the monthly meetings. All other areas of the Youth Artist Guild Lubbock program are led by the youth and each performance is produced by the youth. In allowing the youth the opportunity to take part in all aspects of the theatre, on stage, behind the curtain, tech crew, and front of house operations, students experience the excitement and responsibility of producing a show from audition to performance. Participation in the Youth Artist Guild Lubbock program provides youths the ability to experience an engaging, hands-on experience that can cultivate a love of the arts, now, as well as when they are adults.

Membership

The Youth Artist Guild Lubbock program is special in its strategies for giving students a quality experience at minimal cost.

​Youth Artist Guild Lubbock membership is open to students ages 8-18 for the cost of $45.00 per season, from September-August.  

​Youth Artist Guild Lubbock membership includes participation in monthly meetings and workshops, a Youth Artist Guild Lubbock t-shirt, the ability to audition and/or participate as crew for Youth Artist Guild Lubbock productions, discounts for Summer Camps, and opportunities for outreach in Youth Artist Guild Lubbock volunteer activities such as house management, ushering, concessions, booths at fairs, and other community activities. 

Monthly Meetings

Youth Artist Guild Lubbock meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 6pm-8pm and consist of a business portion, in which the Youth Artist Guild Advisory Board Members share information and a workshop portion. Workshops consist of instructional and educational theatre concepts and activities.
