 Westinghouse is a gift to the Pittsburgh region, providing professional-level arts-focused education in a safe and inclusive environment. The faculty, staff, students, and families are incredibly supportive and you can tell how much work and passion goes into not only preparing for their performances, but also in the way they care for the experience of the audience. Our family is so excited to have our oldest entering as a 9th grader this fall.

   The show was amazing and the kids are so talented! However, the sound balsnce between the kids microphones and the live orchestra was way off, msking it hard to hear them. A lot of the talent was shortchanged because of it.

 Lighting was phenomenal! The actors voices were amazing and wish I could have heard them better. That’s my only complaint was the orchestra overpowered and drowned out the singing for most of the show.

   Everyone very friendly. Access to additional bathrooms would help, at least for women. Cool old venue. Unfortunately, the front doors were left open to the outside at intermission allowing all the second hand smoke inside the venue.

   The tours of the Castle were quite unorganized. Maybe it would have been better to do smaller groups or one color wristband at a time. Not enough seating for the fashion show. Could have used a couple more tables where people could place their plates of hors d'oeuvres.

   Overall it was a wonderful concert. There were times where the music drowned out the singers and made it very hard to hear and understand them. The Metalica piece was great but all the musicians were hidden behind empty chairs and veey hard to see. They should have been up in front to present this piece of music in a better form.

   I have a student of another PA Charter school and I guess I am spoiled. The school is a little haunted looking from the outside. Inside is nice enough, but the floors are cement, the seats are hard plastic, and the sound system has room to improve. Also, it was incredibly hot inside. Thank goodness for the storms that had rolled through because I don’t even want to imagine how hot it

   It was an amazing production! The cast had a lot of amazing talent as well as the orchestra! However, the only reason I give it 4/5 is I was unable to hear a majority of the show… I have previously seen the production done, so I was able to keep up with the plot, but my mom who has never seen it was unable to understand a lot of the songs and dialogue. We were sitting in row D so it wasn’t a far away seat, which is why I wanted to draw it to your attention! Thank you:)

   Awesome performance! The 'pit' was close to where I sat and I was impressed by how well such a small group was able to contribute 5o the experience. Not only did the musicians have great volume and timing but they showed chemistry: I glimpsed many a smile between them. The cellist with the curly hair had this look of being one with music and I'm glad I took time to watch them perform the ending songs so could see their smiles!

       The musical was fabulous! The seats that we had 105-107 row c were more expensive yet right behind the all student orchestra which created a bit of an issue. These seats should not be priced more than others.

 I am so thankful for this school. It has offered my son the opportunity to grow as a dancer that he would not of had otherwise. Being a student at WAACS has had such a positive impact on him as a person and a dancer.

   The bottleneck to get in and the seating of the Gala attendees could have gone much more efficiently. I would ask more students to participate in the future to help with direction and logistics.

 Generally speaking, we are very happy with our experience thus far. It seems like the school is undergoing some growing pains, which I hope are addressed soon. (PS: The limit on these boxes needs to be bigger if you want quality feedback! :-) )

   I don't know if you're referring to the auditorium or the website. The only issue I had was that the tickets I received were not for the seats I had chosen. The seats were fine but the rest of my family had a hard time finding us, as I had told them where we would be seated.
