I ADORED THIS PLAY!!! The talent within these students was absolutely breath taking!!!!! You touched on every single relevant part in the movie. I was very pleased. Sadly, not a great production. Way too long. The second act didn’t add a thing to the production. Unfortunately the ensemble was way under utilized. They added so much to an extremely dry story line and no one saw them. If I were a parent supporting a child in this event I would be extremely frustrated. A lot of time and energy that was not rewarded in the performance . The key actors did well, especially the witch. The environment was extremely hot.

All the productions are so well done and so enjoyable. It is just amazing how well these kids of all ages act. They obviously have all practiced a lot. The sound system could use some improving. While the charachters who have microphones you can hear clearly, those do not are very difficult to hear which is a shame because these are often the children with minor speaking roles who need to be heard to gain confidence. Thank you for wonderful plays.

The children and play were wonderful. I was a bit shocked by the speech from the director and her asking everyone to take a moment if silence for the people if Israel. To ask an audience at a children's theater to only recognize one side of the conflict that is very complex was very odd. To be honest it just felt like an inappropriate venue to display your own political beliefs and expect everyone to share them. Pray for peace on both sides.

The main teen/adult cast, set and crew were fabulous and the orchestra was phenomenal. However, the seats were so uncomfortable. The other was that no children under the age of 12 needed to be cast. Youth theatre should have a diverse lineup of shows that includes teen-only shows. There were too many and it didn't make sense. It's really not appropriate for them and they seemed out of place in the cast.

Concessions were limited and over priced. GPS does not take you to the correct location so we were running behind. Chairs are old and uncomfortable. Bathrooms are small. Not a bad seat in the house. Plenty of seating. Stage is very big. Lighting is adequate. Ticket purchase online was easy. Wish there had been assigned seating instead of general admission.

HYT seems to have the best director! The things she was able to get these kids do was amazing. From the English accents they spoke in, to their displays of appropriate emotions. It was touching, funny and so good! All of the actors with singing parts were very good!

Great show! Vocals were solid and in a pretty good place. The story line stayed consistent and easy to follow! I tried to sit and enjoy w/o my direction “cap”on!

I thoroughly enjoyed this event. I have a child in the show but I sat next to a couple who did not. They said the come for the quality of the shows and it’s true. These shows are polished and professional. The experience has provided my daughter with a positive peer group and with superior adult instruction!

My daughter is in the ensemble for this production and she has had a wonderful experience! She has learned a lot and made good friends. Eugene sets high expectations for the students but he also gives 100% to the production and it shows in the performances.
