About Growing Peony Art Club

Growing Peony Art Club was founded by a mother-and-daughter team with a shared passion for creativity, culture, and bringing people together.

Our mission is simple: to create welcoming and inspiring spaces where people can connect, learn new skills, and enjoy meaningful creative experiences within their local community.

Growing Peony was born from a belief that creativity has the power to bring people together. In a world where genuine connections can be difficult to make, we wanted to create opportunities for people to slow down, try something new, and meet others through art, culture, and shared experiences.

Our founder, Belinda, spent many years working in marketing and as an entrepreneur in the education sector before dedicating herself to the arts. For over 15 years, she has practised Chinese brush painting and Chinese calligraphy, combining traditional techniques with a lifelong passion for teaching and inspiring others.

Alongside her is Nat - the daughter, a professional brand and interior designer specialising in commercial spaces. Beyond her design work, Nat is a multidisciplinary artist who works across ceramics, illustration, and visual arts, with a particular interest in creating authentic, community-focused experiences.

Together, we bring a blend of artistic practice, teaching experience, design thinking, and cultural appreciation to every event we organise. From paint-and-sip socials and Chinese brush painting workshops to tea-tasting experiences, life drawing, and seasonal creative activities, Growing Peony Art Club aims to make art accessible, enjoyable, and welcoming for everyone—whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced creative.
