Stone walls. Iron bars. Heavy doors designed to keep men away from the world, and sometimes, from their own fate. Established in 1879 and in continuous operation for 116 years, the Old Blackford County Jail is a silent witness to a century of crime, desperation, and consequence.

From its booming industrial "Gas Belt" era to the rumored stays of notorious figures like John Dillinger, this jail has housed sheriffs, their families, and the condemned alike. Today, it remains one of the most intact historic jails in the region, featuring a rare, functioning cast-iron turnstile that still leads into the heart of the cell block.

Season One: The Origins of the Movement

This investigation officially launches Season One, a curated journey into the Spiritualist Movement. In a building designed to suppress the living, we will attempt to reach the spirits that remain. Along with modern investigative tools, one special session will focus on Ancestral Communication Methods, the raw, low-tech techniques used in the 1800s to speak with the "other side" before technology ever existed.

7:00 PM – Midnight | Ages 18+ A structured, intensive 5-hour investigation led by the Get Haunted Midwest team.

• The Masterclass: Learn the true history of the jail and master professional gear, including EMF instruments and spirit boxes.

• Cell Block Rotations: Investigate multiple tiers of the jail, from the booking area to the dark corners of the cell blocks.

• The Season One Special: Step back in time to test early spiritualist methods in a location where the energy is still palpable.

The Investigator Pass (Guided Sessions + Solo Exploration) | $99

7:00 PM – 2:00 AM | Ages 18+ For the investigator who wants to see what happens when the guides walk away.

• The Release: After midnight, the "brave" are released from their guided groups.

• Unrestricted Access: You are granted two hours to investigate the jail completely on your own, using the techniques and equipment you’ve just mastered.

• Professional Backup: Our team remains on-site to assist, but the investigation is entirely in your hands.

The Full Lockdown Overnight | $125

7:00 PM – 9:00 AM | Ages 21+ The ultimate test of nerves. Can you spend the night behind bars?

• Total Immersion: Includes the full Guided Session and the Solo Exploration.

• Attempt the Sleep-In: Spend the night inside one of the historic jail cells. We provide the beds (one guest per bed); you bring your sleeping bag, pillow, and courage.

• The Morning After: Enjoy a light breakfast at the jail—if you make it through the night—while discussing your findings with the team.
