Maintaining Faith in the Modern World - This workshop is designed to help high-schoolers reconcile the teaching of Islam while navigating societal pressures and expectations. An emphasis on self empowerment through understanding and self affirmation.
 
 
 
Space is limited.  Register early and separately for each event. 
 
Hadia Zarzour is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned her Masters in Community Counseling at Loyola University. Since then, she has been working with refugees and immigrants. She is certified in Global Refugee Trauma from Harvard University and is currently a private practice owner and trainer.
In 2012, Hadia co-founded Insan, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing psychological support to Syrian refugees in Syria’s neighboring countries. She is also a co-founder of Syrian Community Network, a nonprofit organization that focuses on supporting the Syrian refugees in their resettlement in the Chicagoland area.
In 2017, Hadia joined the training team at the Center for Children Resilience of Lurie Children’s Hospital.

How did you like the event?

   What kind of Islamic teaching where no break for Magrib prayer, youth who went out for prayer when they came back speaker and volunteers got mad. Event was more appropriate for kids 6-8 years of age not for 15-18.

 Boys and girls were not separated. Did not finish on time. Did not break for Maghrib Prayer.
