About Madison Seminary

The Seminary is composed of two treasured historical buildings. The Ohio Cottage was completed in 1891 and "The Civil War" building was completed in 1859.   Between the two there are over 80 rooms and over 31,000 sq ft.    It has been many things in its lifetime including a school,  a mental health facility and a sanctuary for Civil War nurses, mothers, wives, daughters of soldiers.  There are 170 years of history here.
